Putin calls Elon Musk a "real genius"

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Elon Musk a "real genius" and said they were in "close" contact on satellite technology. He made the remarks at the Russia-Africa summit in Moscow.

Putin spoke about Russia's Rassvet satellite internet project. "We are in close contact with our American partners, including Mr Musk," he said.

According to Putin, the contacts are important so that Rassvet and Starlink satellites do not interfere with each other.

SpaceX, which owns Starlink, did not comment.
