Almost 38,000 packs of cigarettes hidden in laminate doors bound for the US

Armenia's State Revenue Committee has foiled an attempt to smuggle 37,900 packs of cigarettes to the United States hidden inside laminate doors.
According to the committee, its anti-smuggling department received information that an Armenian-registered company was preparing to export a large consignment of tobacco products concealed from customs control through the cargo terminal.
During the inspection officers noticed that each door weighed twice as much as a standard one. After all the doors were dismantled, cigarettes of various brands were found inside.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
