Crane collapse at Yerevan construction site kills three

A crane partially collapsed at a construction site in Yerevan. According to preliminary information, three people were killed, the Interior Ministry said.

The 112 emergency service received the report at 14:10. The crane was partially destroyed and fell during works near 120 Tichina Street.

A fire and rescue crew from the Yerevan Rescue Department and a team from the Special Rescue Operations Centre were sent to the scene.

The circumstances of the accident are being established. Investigators are expected to check compliance with safety rules at the site.
