Yerevan is ready for consultations on the date and place of signing
Armenia's Foreign Ministry has said negotiations on the text of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan have been completed. Armenia accepted Azerbaijan's proposals on the two articles that remained unagreed.
"The peace agreement is ready for signing. Armenia is ready to start consultations with Azerbaijan on the date and place of signing," the ministry said.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov confirmed the conclusion of the talks. However, Baku insists that a change to Armenia's Constitution is a precondition for signing.
The agreement consists of 17 articles. Negotiations on it lasted more than two years.
