The Armenian government plans to publish a draft of the new Constitution in November, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a joint session of parliament's standing committees discussing the draft 2027 budget.

"We will publish the draft of the new Constitution, and public discussions will begin. Proposals will be received and discussed. The process will continue until we are convinced that the draft has been sufficiently discussed, after which we will organise another round of discussions," Pashinyan said.

The prime minister named the signing and ratification of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan as one of the government's key priorities.

Azerbaijan links the signing of the peace agreement to a change in Armenia's Constitution, whose preamble refers to the Declaration of Independence.
