The minister responded to a call to expel the country from the organisation
Armenia has no intention of returning to the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.
"We stopped participating in the organisation's activities a long time ago. We have frozen our membership. We will not change our attitude and do not see ourselves returning to the CSTO," he told a press conference.
The statement came after former CSTO Secretary-General Nikolai Bordyuzha called for Armenia to be expelled from the organisation. Earlier the current secretary-general said Armenia had de facto withdrawn from the CSTO.
In August Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he would be "very happy" if the CSTO expelled Armenia.
