Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Armenia to attend the COP17 leaders' summit. On the sidelines of the conference he held talks with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The sides discussed the development of bilateral relations, trade, energy and transport projects. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said earlier that Tehran was satisfied with Armenia's transparency regarding the implementation of the TRIPP project.

Iran is one of Armenia's two neighbours with which it has open borders, and an important trading partner. Part of Armenia's natural gas supplies come through Iran.
