Musicians from nine countries will give concerts and more than 100 masterclasses
The Third Yerevan International Flute Festival is taking place from 1 to 7 November. It brings together renowned flutists, musicologists and students from nine countries in Europe and Asia.
The festival is organised by the Armenian State Philharmonia and the international project Flute Bridges. It is the largest flute-focused event in the country and the region.
The programme includes three concerts, on 4, 5 and 7 November, at the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall, as well as more than 100 masterclasses, lectures and creative meetings.
On 1 November the Yerevan Opera Theatre also opened its new Small Concert Hall to mark the 155th anniversary of composer Alexander Spendiaryan's birth.
