All ten people on board were killed
A private Embraer jet flying from Moscow to St Petersburg has crashed in the Tver region. Russia's aviation agency said Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list. All ten people on board were killed.
Among the passengers was also Dmitry Utkin, one of Wagner's founders. The plane came down near the village of Kuzhenkino.
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over violations of air safety rules. The causes of the crash have not been officially named.
The crash came exactly two months after the Wagner mutiny. US President Joe Biden said he was "not surprised".
