Russia is excluded from qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar
FIFA and UEFA have jointly decided to suspend all Russian teams, both national and club, from their competitions until further notice.
The decision means Russia will not play in the World Cup 2022 qualifying play-offs. Spartak Moscow has been removed from the Europa League.
UEFA also terminated its sponsorship deal with Gazprom. The Champions League final had earlier been moved from St Petersburg to Paris.
The Russian Football Union said it disagreed with the decision and intends to challenge it at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
