Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković held talks in Brussels on November 3. As reported by Hetq.am, the meeting between the politicians took place in the Belgian capital during the Armenian leader's working visit to the EU enlargement summit.

The heads of government recalled their previous dialogue in Yerevan, which took place in May within the framework of the eighth summit of the European Political Community. At that time, the parties signed a Joint Declaration on Strategic Dialogue, which, as the prime ministers confirmed, formed a reliable foundation for deepening interstate partnership in various directions.

The central theme of the negotiations was the strengthening of trade and economic ties. The interlocutors positively assessed the results of the joint business forum held earlier this year and also pointed to the fundamental importance of the full practical implementation of all economic agreements signed during it.

The heads of the cabinets also touched upon specific examples of cooperation. In particular, in October 2026, the Croatian Ministry of Health launched an initiative to provide expert support to Armenia in the process of implementing a universal health insurance system. Along with this, the leaders exchanged views on reforms in the republic and the expansion of institutional interaction with the European Union.

During the meeting, Pashinyan and Plenković paid special attention to the situation in the South Caucasus. They examined in detail the current challenges on the path to diplomatic settlement, as well as steps aimed at ensuring long-term peace and stability between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
