Queen Sofía of Spain visits Garni and the Symphony of Stones

During her visit to Armenia, Queen Sofía of Spain toured the ancient temple of Garni and the Symphony of Stones natural monument. She was accompanied by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan.

The queen learned about the history of the temple, a unique example of Hellenistic architecture in Armenia. The day before she visited Geghard Monastery.

Queen Sofía also met Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Before the end of her visit on 29 October she will attend the award ceremony of the Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development.
