From 1 January 2027 Armenia's universal health insurance system will cover employees earning up to 200,000 drams a month, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said at a government meeting.

The monthly insurance contribution will be 10,800 drams: the state and the employer will each pay 4,400 drams, and the employee 2,000 drams.

For employees earning between 200,000 and 500,000 drams, the state will subsidise 6,000 drams, and the employee will pay the remaining 4,400 drams.

From 2027 it will also be possible to voluntarily include family members in the system.
