Construction of student dormitories under the Academic City project will begin in 2027, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan told a meeting with the country's university rectors.

The meeting discussed higher education reforms, upcoming programmes and priorities for cooperation between the ministry and universities.

Andreasyan drew the rectors' attention to draft regulations stemming from the Law on Higher Education and Science, including new rules on state scholarships, which have been put up for public discussion.

"Our principles remain the same: as little bureaucracy as possible and simple procedures," the minister said.
