In Wiesbaden, in the building of the Hesse state parliament, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the Hessian Peace Prize. It is awarded by the Albert Osswald Foundation.
Pashinyan was welcomed by the parliament's vice-president Daniela Sommer and the foundation's board chairman Karl Starzacher. Speeches were given by German Minister of State at the Foreign Office Serap Güler, Starzacher and Albert Osswald's daughter Michaela Jekel-Osswald.
In his acceptance speech Pashinyan said the peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan had embraced peace and defended it, and that peace itself must become irreversible.
