Armenia keeps 59th place in the Global Innovation Index

Armenia ranked 59th among 139 economies in the Global Innovation Index 2026, keeping last year's position. The report was published by the World Intellectual Property Organization.

The country ranked 77th in innovation inputs and 52nd in innovation outputs. Both rankings improved compared with 2025.

Armenia ranked 10th among 35 upper-middle-income economies and 9th among 18 economies of Northern Africa and Western Asia.

Improvements were recorded in four key pillars: creative outputs, knowledge and technology outputs, infrastructure, and market sophistication.
