Pashinyan, Aliyev and Putin agree to unblock communications
Working group established under leadership of vice prime ministers of three countries
The first trilateral meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin since the November statement took place in Moscow.
Following the talks, the leaders signed a statement on the creation of a trilateral working group headed by deputy prime ministers. It will handle the unblocking of economic and transport links in the region.
Pashinyan stated that the issue of returning Armenian prisoners of war and other detainees could not be resolved, calling it a priority for Yerevan. According to him, talks on this topic will continue.
Putin noted that the ceasefire regime is generally being observed, and Russian peacekeepers have ensured the return of tens of thousands of refugees to Karabakh.
