Armenia's Court of Appeal has rejected a complaint against the decision to detain second president Robert Kocharyan, his lawyer Aram Orbelyan said.
According to Orbelyan, the court rejected the complaint without examining its arguments on the merits, confining itself to "general, formal wording".
Kocharyan has been in custody since August. He is accused of abuse of power, laundering criminal proceeds on an especially large scale and receiving an especially large bribe.
The former president's supporters consider the case politically motivated.
