ChatGPT chatbot reaches a million users in five days
OpenAI has opened public access to its new language model
On 30 November OpenAI opened free access to ChatGPT, a chatbot based on the GPT-3.5 language model. According to the company's CEO Sam Altman, the number of users passed one million within five days.
ChatGPT can answer questions, write texts, explain code and hold a conversation. Social networks have filled up with examples of its work, from poems to programs.
Experts note that the bot often confidently produces incorrect information and raises questions about plagiarism in education. Some schools are already discussing restrictions on its use.
Armenian IT companies and start-ups have started testing the model. The service also works in Armenian, although the quality of its answers is noticeably lower than in English.
